Eva Blue is a professional photographer by trade and a child at heart. Being a Canadian of Korean descent, she is persistently confronted with cultural identity and embodies second generation idiosyncrasies. There's a constant inner dialogue scuffling in her head about art, regardless of having graduated in Fine Arts from Concordia University, specializing in Studio Arts. All of which are exasperated by stereotypes since a young age. Regularly correcting, "Fine arts, not finance."  Photography came in later years, opening up her world and never looking back. As a predominantly self-taught photographer, she’s been documenting what she sees ever since, seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, finding beauty in the unexpected, and truth through the lens. This is also reflected in her mixed-media practice.

Her professional photographic work covers a wide variety of styles including portrait, travel, lifestyle, event, candid and corporate. Her lens has witnessed Barack Obama, Justin Trudeau, Lady Gaga, Radiohead, Metallica, Spike Lee, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and the list goes on. Her photography has been published in the New York Times, The New Yorker, Vice, Forbes, The LA Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Guardian, NPR, Mother Jones, Out Magazine, various Montreal publications and more. She is currently freelancing for Tourisme Montreal.

Eva Blue is based out of Montreal - Canada, suffers from wanderlust, loves photographing music festivals, and is re-immersing herself in fine arts.
